The Canoe Outpost on the Little Manatee River is located on the Gulf coast of Florida in southern Hillsborough County. We are near the cities of Tampa, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Bradenton and Sarasota. So, whether you are visiting our area or live here, we are less than an hour’s drive away and our trips are a great way to spend a part or all of your day.

We offer canoe and kayak rentals for self-guided trips on the Little Manatee River, Cockroach Bay, and the Braden River.We also offer tubing on the Little Manatee River when conditions allow for it. We provide the transportation so you can go with the flow.  We can also coordinate group trips on other local rivers.

Looking for a place to get away? We offer 1 and 2 bedroom cabin rentals by the day, week, or month to relax and enjoy the river, hiking and horseback riding or to serve as a home base for your Florida vacation. We offer individual and group tent camping sites as well as RV sites and rentals.
